Description
Dinner in the Agafay is how most people fall for the place. You arrive as the sun drops, settle into a camp under the first stars, and eat a proper Moroccan meal — salads, a tagine or couscous, dessert and mint tea — with the plateau dark and silent around you. Live Gnawa music and, at most camps, a fire show run through the evening.
It’s a relaxed, sociable few hours rather than a rushed sitting. The camps we work with keep the setting authentic and the food generous. Vegetarian menus are available with notice, and the atmosphere suits couples, families and groups alike.
Good to know
- About 40 minutes from Marrakech; evenings get cool, bring a layer.
- Tell us in advance for vegetarian or dietary needs.
- A transfer with waiting time can be added so you don’t drive back in the dark.
Add a camel ride or a pool afternoon beforehand to make a full day of it.
