This 2-day, 1-night private New Year’s Eve tour takes you from Marrakech across the High Atlas to the golden dunes of Zagora and M’hamid El Ghizlane, for a festive dinner and a midnight countdown under a sky full of stars — then the first sunrise of the year over the sand before the journey back.
Your 2-day itinerary
- Day 1 — Marrakech to the Sahara: private early departure, cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas, stop at the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, then follow the Draa Valley palm groves through Zagora to M’hamid El Ghizlane, gateway to the dunes.
- Day 1 evening — New Year’s Eve in the dunes: a sunset camel ride into the golden dunes, arrival at your luxury bivouac, a festive Moroccan New Year’s Eve dinner, live music and a midnight countdown around the fire. An alcohol-free, family-friendly celebration.
- Day 2 — sunrise & return: watch the first sunrise of the year over the Sahara, breakfast at camp, then the private drive back to Marrakech via the Draa Valley and the Atlas.
