We pick you up from your Marrakech riad and drive about forty minutes to our base at the edge of the stone desert. This 2 hour buggy agafay tour is a focused run for people who want the driving and not much else: two hours on the tracks, a photo stop, and back. Agafay is rocky ground and low grey hills, which keeps the buggy planted as you push through the turns.
What you’ll do
At the base you get a helmet, a walk-through of the controls and a short practice loop to get used to the throttle and brakes. Then you set off in your two-seater buggy behind the guide, following marked tracks that run between the flat-topped hills and along dry riverbeds.
The route covers a good spread of the Agafay over the two hours, mixing open gravel where you can pick up speed with tighter sections that need a bit more care. Around the halfway mark the guide pulls up on a rise for photos over the plain toward the Atlas before you loop back to the base for mint tea.

Frequently asked questions
Is two hours a lot of driving?
It is a proper session rather than a taster. Most people find two hours is the right length to see a good stretch of the Agafay without tiring out.
Can two people share one buggy?
Yes. The buggy seats two, so you can swap driver and passenger during the stops, or a guide can drive if you prefer.
Do I need a driving license?
You don’t need a car license for the buggy, but you should be comfortable steering and braking. The briefing and practice loop cover the basics.
What’s the best time of day to go?
Late afternoon is popular because the light is better and it’s cooler, but morning slots work well too. Tell us your preference when you book.
