We collect you from your Marrakech riad in the morning and drive about 40 minutes out to the Agafay stone desert. This Agafay quad biking and lunch half-day is a simple, active outing: an hour or so on the quads across the rocky plains, then a relaxed Moroccan lunch in a Berber camp before we bring you back to the city. It suits people who want a taste of the desert without giving up the whole day.
What you’ll do
The guide gives you a short briefing and lets you get used to the quad on flat ground before you set off. From there you ride out across the stony Agafay plains, following tracks between the low hills with the Atlas mountains behind you. There is space to open up on the straights and the pace stays comfortable, so it works for a first-timer as well as someone who has ridden before.
After the ride you pull in at the camp to wash off the dust and sit down to lunch. The meal is a Moroccan spread, usually a salad starter, a tagine or grilled main, and fruit to finish, with mint tea. You can take your time on the terrace looking out over the desert before we drive you back to Marrakech.

How long does the quad biking last?
The ride itself runs about an hour. With the drive from Marrakech and lunch, the whole outing takes around four to five hours.
Is transfer from Marrakech included?
Yes. We pick you up at your riad or hotel and drop you back afterward. Pick-up in central Marrakech is included at no extra cost.
What is the best time of day for this?
The morning is the usual choice, so you ride before it gets hot and have lunch after. We also run an afternoon version if that fits your day better.
Can we customize it?
Yes. We can add a camel ride or day-pass at the camp, adjust the ride length, or set an easier pace for beginners and families. Just tell us what you want.
