We pick you up from your Marrakech hotel or riad in the morning for a full half-day in the Agafay Desert. This agafay quad, camel ride and lunch day trip puts three things together: a quad bike run across the stony plains, a slow camel walk, and lunch in a Berber tent. Agafay is a rocky desert about 40 minutes from Marrakech, so you get real desert scenery without the long drive to the sand dunes.
What you’ll do
You start on the quad bikes. After a briefing and helmets, you ride out across the stone desert, following a guide through dry riverbeds and over low rises. The route is open and the ground is firm, so it suits both beginners and anyone who wants to push a little harder.
Next you swap the engine for a camel. A handler leads you on a steady walk across the flats, which is a good change of pace and an easy way to take in the quiet. After the ride you sit down to lunch in the tent: Moroccan salads, a tagine or grilled main, fruit, and mint tea. When you are ready we drive you back to Marrakech.

How long does the day trip take?
Plan on roughly half a day door to door, including the drive from Marrakech. We can give you a tighter time once we know your pickup point and the date.
Is the camel ride suitable for kids?
Yes, the camel walk is slow and a handler stays with you the whole time. Tell us the ages when you book so we can set it up safely.
Do I ride the quad alone?
You get your own quad if you want one. Younger riders or anyone who prefers can share with the guide or a parent.
What do I need to bring?
Closed shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dusty, and bring a light layer in cooler months.
